As an experienced and valued Team Manager, you’ll lead a team of social care professionals in a specific area of care, to deliver a high quality service across the entire case work cycle, where the child’s voice is central to everything.

As a valued Senior Social Worker, you’ll use your wealth of post-qualifying experience to make a real difference to the children, young people and families of Sandwell. Championing best practice, you’ll safeguard and promote their welfare, ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
You’ll be responsible for a complex caseload of children and young people, assessing and planning for children in need of protection and in care. You’ll work in a proactive and timely way with multi-agency partners, using resources to their best advantage, with the child’s voice at the centre of all you do.
You’ll be confident with court work, including preparing and presenting reports, and able to lead section 47 work, with a sound knowledge of legislation and child development needs. With a flexible approach, you’ll support your Team Manager to ensure a high quality service is delivered at all times.
As a valued Social Worker, you’ll assess the vulnerability of Sandwell’s children, providing a service that will significantly improve their quality of life. You’ll ensure the best outcome possible for our children, young people and their families, through safeguarding and promoting their welfare.
You’ll be responsible for a manageable caseload of children and young people. You’ll co-ordinate services using resources appropriately and involving multi-agency partners. You’ll conduct a range of assessments whilst listening to the views of the people you’re supporting.
Using best practice and ensuring all legislative requirements are met, you’ll deliver quality children’s plans in a proactive and timely manner, with a strong emphasis on the child’s voice. As well as preparing and presenting reports, you’ll also support your Team Manager to ensure a high quality service is delivered at all times
